PatientScribe Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy (this “policy”) explains what consumer health data PatientScribe, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”, “PatientScribe”) collects, how that information is used and shared, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of PatientScribe’s appointment intelligence tool for patients and caregivers (the “App”).

This policy is specifically required by laws like the My Health My Data Act in Washington and is specifically focused on your consumer health data that we collect. It does not apply to consumer health data that you may submit to the App but that we do not have access to. You can read PatientScribe’s full privacy policy, which applies to all personal data that we collect, including through our website, here.

Why we collect your consumer health data. We collect your consumer health data to provide the recording, transcription, summary, organization, and sync features of the App that you choose to use.

Who we share your consumer health data with. We may share your consumer health data with the following categories of third parties:

Consent and withdrawal: we collect and process your consumer health data based on the consent you give when you choose to record, upload, or save information in the App. We delete our copies of your audio, transcripts, and generated content shortly after we have completed our processing and after your device confirms that it has saved your summary -- generally within minutes. You may withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the information or your account, which stops our further processing of the deleted data.

How to exercise your rights: To access, delete, or obtain a copy of your consumer health data that we have in our possession, email privacy@patientscribe.app. We will verify your request through your account and respond within the time the applicable law requires. We will not deny you service or charge you a different price for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we may ask for proof of authorization. If we deny a privacy request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line, and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires.
